June 22 - Good morning folks (I say, as I ready myself to get into bed to read)! Just another day at the office today…for me. Apparently there was some kind of lab holiday I was unaware of? No one else came in, including the boss. Actually one of the other students was there for a little while, but I’m pretty sure that was just to watch the NBA finals. I really just can’t make myself care about the NBA, I’m sadder to be missing baseball (obviously), and Euro 2012.
After a bunch of emailing back and forth between advisors literally on opposite sides of the planet, we decided to add two more conditions to the experiment, so I had lots more coding to do today…which mostly went all right! But for the first time, given that everyone else was gone, I managed to leave the office with a little daylight still left (not easy when that requires you to leave by 4:45).
But yeah, that was about it for today! It was super windy, which really annoyed the very noisy birds. Once I got back from campus I took a little break and then headed out in search of kebabs…I could not find them, for the 2nd straight day! I feel like this is ridiculous, since I’ve been told that it is one of the things I should eat while I’m in the area, but I just didn’t see a place! Tonight I looked over in Randwick, which is another neighborhood on the other side of campus and a bit north. No dice. Did get some delicious Indian food though.
